Matthew Wolfson, M.D.
Dr. Matthew Wolfson is a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon who is fellowship trained in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He grew up in Long Island, New York and later attended the University of Miami graduating high honors with a BS in Neurobiology and minors in both Business and Chemistry. He earned his medical degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. Dr. Wolfson then completed a prestigious 5-year Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center working closely with his mentor and world-renowned orthopaedic trauma surgeon, Dr. Paul Tornetta. Following the completion of residency, Dr. Wolfson spent an additional year completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. During that year he trained in complex knee and shoulder procedures focusing on minimally invasive techniques and arthroscopy. In addition, he was an official medical provider and co-team physician for all University of Miami athletics as well as for the Miami Marlins major league baseball team. Through the use of advanced open and arthroscopic surgical techniques Dr. Wolfson focuses on restoring damaged joints, ligaments and bones in the shoulder, elbow and knee. Dr. Wolfson cares for athletes of all ages, beginning from adolescence through adulthood and at all levels of participation, from the weekend warrior to the high school, collegiate and professional athlete. He believes in a comprehensive approach to patient care, including utilization of physical therapy and conservative management to explore all alternatives of treatment before surgery is considered. Dr. Wolfson has a special interest in performing quadricep tendon autograft ACL reconstruction using a modern, innovative, minimally invasive, all-inside technique. He also has a clinical interest in knee ligament injuries, cartilage preservation and restoration, meniscus injury, patellar instability, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability and labral tears, pectoralis and distal biceps tendon rupture, shoulder arthritis (total and reverse shoulder arthroplasty), and elbow injuries. Dr. Wolfson is trained in joint replacement surgery and fracture care. Dr. Wolfson is an active member of numerous academic societies including the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). He is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care with the highest level of compassion and expertise. He is currently affiliated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, West Boca Medical Center, Bethesda Hospitals (East and West), Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center, Delray Beach Surgical Suites and Baptist Health Surgery Center at South Palm. Dr. Wolfson and his wife have one child and are active in the Boca Raton community. Dr. Wolfson enjoys cycling, hiking, tennis and golf. Kenneth Garrod, M.D., FACS
Dr. Garrod is a Board Certified Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity surgeon involved in cutting edge treatment of all upper extremity disorders. He has been in practice in Boca Raton, Florida since 1984. He was one of the first fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeons to practice in South Florida bringing state-of-the-art expertise to the area. Dr. Garrod graduated from the University of Wisconsin and completed medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He was a General Surgery resident at the same institution and went on to complete his Orthopedic Surgery training there. In order to obtain expertise in treating disorders of the upper extremity he completed a fellowship at Tufts University Medical School in Boston, Mass. under the direction of Drs. Edward Nalebuff and Leonard Ruby. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He maintains both certifications and recertifies with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery every 10 years. Dr. Garrod is currently a Voluntary Affiliate Assistant Professor at the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. He is involved in undergraduate medical studies and mentors undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in medicine. Dr. Garrod specializes in minimally invasive surgery of the upper extremity . He was one of the first physicians in the country to perform endoscopic carpal tunnel release and has performed over 10,000 such procedures. He has been involved in teaching other practicing orthopedic surgeons the technique conducting clinical workshops and traveling to other academic institutions teaching the technique. Other areas of expertise include endoscopic cubital tunnel decompression, wrist arthroscopy, minimally invasive wrist fracture treatment, tennis elbow, treatment of Dupuytren’s disease with needle aponuerotomy and collagenase injections and joint replacement for the arthritic hand. He has specialized experience with complicated surgical reconstructions for patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Garrod receives accolades from his colleagues and is routinely named to the Castle-Connolly Guide to Top Doctors as well as the prestigious Guide to Top Doctors published by the Center for the Study of Services in Washington, D.C. He has received the coveted Patients Choice Award rated and awarded by patients. Ehsan Esmaeili, M.D.
Dr. Ehsan Esmaeili is a Board Certified Orthopedic Hand and Upper Extremity surgeon. Raised in Wellington, FL, Dr. Esmaeili returns to South Florida committed to offering the highest quality of care in all age groups. Dr. Esmaeili completed his undergraduate education with honors, at the University of Florida in 2003. From there he graduated summa cum laude from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2007. Dr. Esmaeili then completed his residency in General Surgery at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in South Carolina where he served as chief resident in 2012. Following residency, Dr. Esmaeili completed a prestigious Hand and Microvascular Surgery fellowship at the University of Connecticut in 2013. There he was mentored by renowned hand and wrist surgeon Dr. H. Kirk Watson, gaining vast experience in the care of the upper extremity. To further expand his surgical education, Dr. Esmaeili also gained certification in microsurgery from Columbia University in New York. During his career, Dr. Esmaeili has published and presented his research at local and national meetings, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the New England Hand Society. He is currently a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS), and a member of the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Esmaeili is currently affiliated with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center, and Bethesda Outpatient Surgery Center.
